VAITSI wasn't born as a brand.
It was born as knowledge, experience, and daily practice of life.

My name is Christina Vaitsi and I have been involved with the properties and targeted mixing of herbs since 1999.
My first contact with herbs wasn't in a lab — it was in my home kitchen.

I remember my mother preparing daily meals and, next to her, "cooking" herbal balms for every family need: for colds, muscle aches, minor injuries, wounds. They were clean, pure, and — most importantly — functional.

During our family picnics, we collected calendula, St. John's wort, chamomile, lavender, and mountain tea.
Nature was not theory, it was a way of life.

 

The knowledge behind nature

In school, I excelled in Ancient Greek. Growing up, a book about herbs and their use in Ancient Greece left a lasting impression on me. The ancient Greeks used plants for both beautification and body care — with respect, knowledge, and moderation.

This combination:

is the basis of every VAITSI formulation.

My mother always said:

"If something is pure enough to be edible, then it's also suitable for the skin."

This phrase remains our compass to this day.

Studies & professional career

I have studied Graphic Arts and have attended extensive seminars on herbalism and aromatherapy over time.

VAITSI combines:

The birth of VAITSI

The creation of VAITSI came after encouragement from people who immediately distinguished my preparations from comparable commercial products.
They recognized the difference in texture, effectiveness, and philosophy.

The turning point, however, was the birth of my first daughter, Maria.

That's when the essential questions began:

From toothpaste and shampoo, to creams for irritations, burns, and hydration — I wanted absolute transparency and control.

So, I moved from thought to action.
